A response to Jeremy Irons in fridge poetry on hearing his interview with the Huffington Post and then realising my pink magnetic poetry kit includes ‘man’ and ‘men’ but only one ‘woman’

Same sex marriage is outrageous
that would mean
a man wishing to marry
could do it with anyone:
take his boy as the partner
and pursue the mistress still;
have two birds in hand or
linger with lads not yet men.
What’s exceedingly odd is
he thinks a woman
will never wed her girl.
What flannel! says it all.
My only comfort must be
it is easy to undo
nonsense letters like these.
